Campanella Fences, Mahopac, NY  - “Post for a Cure” to Benefit Relay for Life

Tony Campanella visited my home on a business call as my German Shepard, Ruby, was running through the invisible fence - she clearly needed physical boundaries.  We discussed his business and how the lull between winter and spring was approaching. I developed the concept of putting a post in the ground and donating a $1 for every post drilled in the ground to a charity of his choice.  He told me about how his mom and his wife’s best friend had been battling cancer. Thus “Post for a Cure” to benefit Relay for Life was born and local resident, Vanessa Williams, was kind enough to drive the first Pink post into the ground at a press event in Mt. Kisco.  We were off and running!

“Post for a Cure” was picked up in media outlets all over the world, including The Westchester Wag ~ cbsnews.com ~ nbcnewyork.com ~ starpulse.com ~ welovesoaps.net ~ crushable.com ~ blackvibes.com ~ elnuevodiaria.com ~ starpulse.com ~ mylife.com

Via Vanti Restaurant & Gelateria, Mt. Kisco, NY – Lago Di Cuomo Soup to benefit the Westchester Food Bank

Governor Cuomo is a resident of Mt. Kisco so we launched a “politically correct” soup in his honor, “Lago di Cuomo,” on New Year’s Day, the day of his inauguration.  All customers were given a taste of the soup during the month of January and $1 from all sales from the soup as a menu item were donated to the Westchester Food Bank.

Beascakes Bakery had just moved to a new location and Julie Dickenson, the owner, was looking for some buzz.  Our neighbor, Chelsea Clinton was getting married in three days at the Astor estate.  We contacted Julie and said that we had an idea that would go miles.  In a blink, we created a community wedding cake in honor or Chelsea Clinton – the “Petit Astor Cakes,” with all proceeds benefiting the Clinton Busch Haiti Fund.
